One tasty Bravecto Chew, four times per year will keep your dog protected against fleas and deadly paralysis ticks through every season. A single Bravecto Chew will also provide eight weeks protection against brown dog ticks. Although the chew can be given to your dog at any time of the day, it is recommended that it is best given to your dog at or around, mealtimes. If your dog is prone to swallow, rather than chew the tablet, don’t worry. There is no difference in the efficacy of the treatment if the tablet has been swallowed, rather than chewed before swallowing.
Bravecto has been proven safe for use in breeding, pregnant and lactating dogs as well as puppies over eight weeks of age and weighing at least 2kg.
The active ingredient in Bravecto is fluralaner. After you treat your pet with Bravecto, this is absorbed into the bloodstream and quickly reaches tissue fluids just under your dog’s skin. When fleas and ticks feed, they take in the fluralaner and die. Bravecto kills pre-existing and new infestations of paralysis ticks for three months. Brown dog ticks are controlled for eight weeks. Bravecto controls fleas on dogs within eight hours of administration, and subsequently controls flea re-infestations by breaking the flea life cycle.
With the Bravecto Chew, bathing, shampooing, or swimming will not affect how well the treatment works. Coat length and grooming, or brushing will also have no impact on the efficacy of the treatment.
