Two doses of Bravecto Spot-on for dogs will provide a full year’s protection against fleas and paralysis ticks. A single treatment will give your dog effective cover for a full six months and will also control Flea Allergy Dermatitis. One dose provides six months protection against fleas and paralysis ticks and twelve week’s protection against brown dog ticks.
Bravecto Spot-on has been proven safe for use in breeding, pregnant and lactating dogs as well as puppies over eight weeks of age and weighing at least 2kg.
The active ingredient in Bravecto is fluralaner. After you treat your pet with Bravecto Spot-on, this is absorbed into the bloodstream and quickly reaches tissue fluids just under your dog’s skin. When fleas and ticks feed, they take in the fluralaner and die. Bravecto Spot-on for Dogs kills pre-existing and new infestations of paralysis ticks for six months. Brown dog ticks are controlled for twelve weeks. Bravecto Spot-on controls fleas on dogs within eight hours of administration, and subsequently controls flea re-infestations for six months by breaking the flea life cycle.
Although the active ingredient is the same, Bravecto Spot-on for Dogs lasts longer than Bravecto Chews. The unique formulation in the spot-on treatment leads to differences in absorption when applied on to the skin as compared with oral administration.
Bravecto Spot-on dries quickly, but it is not recommended to wash, or allow your dog to become immersed, or swim in water within three days of treatment.
