Snooza Pet Products is a Melbourne based business that began by making their famous Original Dog Bed and Pet Futon nearly thirty years ago. Since then, the product range has grown considerably to cater for cats and now includes accessories. Snooza products are mainly made in Australia using Australian materials wherever possible.

The Snooza TUFF Ortho Snuggler is similar in design and comfort to the original Ortho Snuggler. The TUFF Ortho Snuggler – Indigo benefits from an extremely strong and durable dark blue exterior and a reversible mat base. Ideal as an outdoor bed under a verandah, the 1650 denier fabric is abrasion and scratch proof and provides a high performance, fade-resistant and water- resistant exterior. The soft bolstered walls together with orthopaedic support foam cushion in the base provide a stable base for younger and older dogs alike. The removable and reversible base cushion has chinchilla faux fur on one side and Tuff 1650 denier fabric on the other. The Snooza TUFF material on the exterior and side of the mat are water-resistant and can be wiped down easily.

The Snooza TUFF Ortho Snuggler has exterior covers made from 1650 denier polyester, with faux fur interior lining. The side bolsters contain Australian made Snoozafill and the base, Australian made super comfort orthopaedic foam. The bed has a non-slip base and zippered, removable covers for easy machine washing. Each bolster is removable, replaceable and washable.

Please remember that this bed is tough but not indestructible. Due to the two-stage dyeing process of the Chinchilla faux fur on the mat and internal walls, there may be some shading, or colour variation.

Dog Bed Guide

When choosing the correct bed for your dog, you will need to take account of:

1)  the size of your dog and,

2)  how your dog normally sleeps.  Does your dog curl up, or does it sprawl?

For dogs that prefer to curl up to sleep, a soft-walled bed, or donut style may be suitable. Remember that your dog must be able to curl into the internal sleep area of the bed. Please do not take account of the bed’s overall dimensions.  Ideally, measure your dog whilst sleeping to determine the minimum internal bed dimensions required.

For dogs that sprawl when asleep a mattress, or pillow style bed is recommended. The bed should be large enough to support your dog’s head and body whilst sleeping.  Ideally, measure your dog whilst sleeping to gauge the correct sized bed.
