Removing cover & putting cover back on does take some time & effort. Taking out the base cushion 1st, & replacing it last seemed to be the easiest way for me. Plus the hood is fine after washing. So knowing how much my boy loves this bed, it is worth it. I washed the bed on delicates. Then I placed my round clothes basket, upside down on a clothes rack. Placing the bed over it, so the basket was inside the hood as it was drying to help maintain its shape. I hope this helps other buyers.

Instant hit, didn’t even get to remove tags before he was in. Not sure how easy it will be to remove the cover, & how the hood will be after washing. But for now, I’m very happy with my purchase. Also thanks for the very fast delivery.
