Hikari Discus Bio-Gold is a scientific diet for all varieties of Discus, Angelfish, Dwarf Cichlids and other smaller tropical fish. The balanced combination of premium, natural ingredients and lipids promotes desirable form and growth, previously only achievable using live foods.
The pellet size is ideal for the normal feeding action of discus and the slow sinking characteristics, together with the inclusion of Krill and silkworm pupa assist with ready acceptance by even the most finicky eaters. The pellet absorbs water quickly becoming soft, whilst retaining shape and has a worm-like texture.
Bio-chemically synthesized colour enhancing carotenoids are utilised to help develop vivid, natural colouration without negatively impacting the bluish tones.
Please note that owing to the high level of natural ingredients, there may be a slight variation in pellet colour with each production batch.
Feeding
For best results, Hikari recommends feeding small amounts often, rather than two daily feeds. Hikari also recommends reducing the water flow when feeding. Care should be taken to avoid over-feeding as uneaten food will adversely affect water quality. Any uneaten food should be removed after feeding.
